Accounting

Accounting & tax

Books closed within about 7–10 business days of complete documents, returns sent for signature before the deadline. One person prepares, another checks; you sign and submit, with every figure explained. Each month you get a short summary of revenue, costs, balances owed and expected tax that reads without an accounting background.

New rules, 2025 – 2026

Several major changes land within about 18 months, and every business and household business is affected. We build them into how your books and returns are done, so you do not have to chase each new document.

  1. 06/2025

    Decree 70/2025/ND-CP

Household and individual retailers with revenue of VND 1 billion a year or more must issue e-invoices from cash registers connected to the tax office.

  2. 07/2025

    Social Insurance Law 2024

Compulsory cover widens, including registered household business owners and eligible part-time workers. Late payment accrues interest of 0.03% a day.

  3. 01/2026

    Presumptive tax ends

Household businesses move to self-declaration and must keep proper books and invoices.

  4. 01/2026

    Circular 99/2025/TT-BTC

The new corporate accounting regime replaces Circular 200; the chart of accounts changes and books must follow.

  5. 2026

    New PIT scale and reliefs

Five progressive brackets, a personal relief of VND 15.5 million and VND 6.2 million per dependant: payroll has to be recalculated.

02 Tax filing & finalisation

Returns on time, figures right, and explained

A late return is penalised even when the figures are right. Wrong figures bring reassessments and interest. We prepare every return, review it before it reaches you, explain the figures in plain words and remind you to sign and submit in time. When the tax office asks, we prepare the figures and sit beside you.

What we handle

  • Monthly or quarterly VAT, PIT and CIT returns, ready to sign
  • Annual CIT and PIT finalisation files
  • A note on the tax due and why it moved from the last period
  • A risk check before filing, so penalties do not arise
  • Figures and files ready whenever the tax office asks for an explanation

FAQ

Common questions

How is the fee set?

A fixed monthly fee based on document volume and industry, written into the contract. Each customer page lists the tiers.

Is switching from another provider complicated?

We take over the books and the old software data, check the opening balances, then begin. If the old books have errors, you hear about them before deciding what to do.

Do I have to hand over everything at once?

No. You can start with tax filing and move bookkeeping and payroll across later.

Do you invoice the fee?

Yes. Every fee comes with an invoice the business can expense.

How is my data kept?

Only the staff handling your file can access it, confidentiality is in the contract, and the data is handed back in full when the service ends.

Do we file monthly or quarterly?

It depends on last year’s revenue and how long you have operated. New companies usually file quarterly. We check at the first meeting.

Who submits the return?

Your business signs and submits from its own tax account. VIETAXES prepares and guides; we do not file as a tax agent.

No revenue — do I still file?

Yes. A nil return is still due on time, and a late one is still penalised.

Do you help during a tax inspection?

Yes. We prepare the figures and explanation file, and can sit with you in the meeting with the tax office.

What does full-service accounting include?

Bookkeeping, a monthly close, VAT, PIT and CIT returns, annual financial statements under Circular 99 and the year-end finalisation, plus a monthly owner summary. Payroll, social insurance and management reports can be added.

How much does it cost?

From 1m a month for a company with up to 20 documents, rising with volume and industry. Household businesses from 800k a month.

We use MISA or other software. Can we switch?

Yes. We take the data from your old software and check the balances before carrying on, so nothing is re-entered from scratch.

From 2026, must household businesses keep books?

Presumptive tax ended on 1 January 2026, so household businesses declare their own tax and keep books under the household accounting regime. We open and keep the books and prepare each return for the owner to sign and file.

Do I need to install any software?

No. Photograph invoices and documents and send them on Zalo or by email; we keep the books and send the reports back.

How do management reports differ from financial statements?

Financial statements follow the legal format for filing. Management reports answer the owner’s questions: which line makes money, how many months the cash lasts, which costs are over plan.

What do management reports cost?

1.5m a month on top of the accounting fee.
